Различия между день всех святых и Хэллоуин
All Saint's Day is holiday established by Catholic Church in the 9th century. In catholic countries people usually go to family graves and pray for deceaseds. They light candles, because fire is symbol of remembrance, thankfulness and prayer. All Saint is day of religious meditation.
British and American equivalent of All Saint’s Day is Halloween. Halloween in contrast with All Saint is very happy holiday. On that day children visit houses, saying “trick or treat”. They carry jack-o-lanterns – pumpkins with cut out eyes, nose and mouth, and they wear costumes and masks. On Halloween boys, girls and their parents go to parties, where they play games and tell scary stories about ghosts.
